Recently I had the great pleasure of both meeting and shooting an adorable "petite" young lady on one of the days that she will always remember as a milestone in her life...her Graduation from UAB! Shakera showed up for our session ready for action, dressed in her cap and gown. Draped around her neck...her rope signifying her membership in the "Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing"! So gorgeous and smart! But her demeanor and willingness to entrust herself into my hands and my camera's lens made this one of the most enjoyable sessions I've had to date. I could have shot her all day and not charged her extra! But I had to release her back to her waiting family so she could continue to celebrate this momentous accomplishment. My portfolio is richer with her additions and Birmingham is safer with her as one of it's outstanding nurses! So here are some sneak peeks of her mini-session...enjoy!

On yesterday, I had the great pleasure of capturing this lovely young couple together just before one of the major milestones their lives and a right of passage of every young man and woman...PROM! Both showed up ready. Maya in an elegant orange dress and Decoriun in an all white tuxedo with matching bow tie and vest. Though they took great photos individually, it was when they were together when the sparkle could be seen. You know, that youthful sparkle that we all experienced before our own memorable occasion. They were very easy to work with and weren't shy about sharing in some laughter along the way either. All in all, it was an inspiring shoot for myself and I hope and pray a lasting memory for this beautiful couple. Enjoy the sneak peek...
