While I have been blessed in the past to have had clients that have been a pleasure to work with and capture, yesterday I had a shoot that I reminded me of why I love to do what I do! I had the joy of meeting a remarkable young lady and also of being the photographer to capture her first professional photos! Daijha and I were able to showcase not only her dancing skills but also her playful side to give her a unique and fun experience to remember her senior year by. Natural models are hard to come by, but she took to my camera and direction like a pro! I have to give credit to her mother as well for acting as an impromptu assistant at times, holding onto my lighting gear to keep the wind from blowing it away. Unfortunately Daijha's hair was not as cooperative, but we made the best of it. Photo shoots like this help to recharge my batteries and let me create the work that I have a passion for. This is from an older shoot, but I wanted to share it nonetheless since it's one of my personal favorites. Last year I had the opportunity and honor of capturing the maternity photos of these two lovebirds, whom I see as a brother and sister. As you can see for yourself they were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their little prince, Blake. And I'm happy to say that he has arrived since the time of this shoot and is healthy and growing, bringing joy to a beautiful young couple!
